What this credential is
The Canvas ABA-Art Credential is a curriculum-specific certificate verifying that the credential holder has:
-
Completed the Canvas ABA-Art coursework, and
-
Passed the Canvas ABA-Art competency exam
This credential provides a clear, field-facing way to distinguish professionals who are prepared to implement Canvas ABA-Art as designed.
This is not a replacement for licensure, board certification, or employer credentialing. It is a verification of competency specific to Canvas ABA-Art implementation.
Why credentialing matters to the field
When a curriculum is implemented across settings (schools, clinics, homes, consultative services), outcomes depend on scope and fidelity.
The Canvas ABA-Art Credential supports the field by:
-
Establishing a consistent implementation standard for an emerging curriculum model
-
Promoting treatment integrity and reducing “DIY” or altered implementations that drift from the curriculum
-
Helping schools, organizations, and collaborators identify professionals trained in this specific model
-
Protecting the credibility of art-based behavior-analytic work through an objective competency requirement (the exam)

A Credentialed Canvas ABA-Art Professional has met Canvas ABA’s requirements to demonstrate readiness to implement the curriculum as designed.
