Canvas ABA–Art began as a vision to bridge two powerful worlds: behavioral science and creative expression.
Founded by Dr. Natasha Bouchillon, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and lifelong artist, Canvas was born from the belief that art can be more than a recreational activity, it can be a meaningful, evidence-based tool for communication, connection, and growth.
With experience in early intervention, relational frame theory, and Acceptance & Commitment Training, Dr. Bouchillon saw a need for more flexible, values-driven, and creative approaches in the ABA field. Canvas is the result: curricula and training models that empower learners through choice, creativity, and compassionate support.

Our Story
Our Mission
At Canvas ABA–Art, our mission is to help children, caregivers, and clinicians connect through the power of art and science. We provide tools and training that support emotional expression, psychological flexibility, and meaningful learning, using behavior analysis, mindfulness, and creative engagement as our foundation. We believe that effective intervention should be both evidence-based and deeply human, rooted in curiosity, autonomy, and joy.
Whether you’re a therapist, teacher, or parent, Canvas offers a way to support growth that feels respectful, collaborative, and lasting.
We believe that all people, especially children deserve learning experiences that honor their interests, strengths, and autonomy. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming and grounded in the principles of assent, consent, and dignity.
We use art not just as an activity, but as an intervention, one that fosters communication, flexibility, and emotional development. Every element of the Canvas model is rooted in behavioral science and informed by relational frame theory, yet implemented through a lens of creativity, compassion, and choice. By blending data-driven methods with self-expression, we create space for real growth to occur, not just in skills, but in confidence, connection, and well-being.
